Overview

The Centerville Landmarks Commission was created by the city to help identify, preserve, protect and enhance historic places and things within the city that are architecturally or historically significant, such as:

  • Buildings
  • Landmarks
  • Monuments
  • Museum artifacts
  • Sites
  • Streetscapes

Additionally, the Commission helps plan and direct the activities scheduled during the annual Historic Preservation Week each May.

Member Terms & Appointment

The Commission consists of 5 to 7 members. Commission terms are for three years, and appointment is made by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.
