Municipal Elections in Utah are every two years. This year there are one (1) Mayoral and (2) City Council positions to be voted on:
- One (1) Mayoral position (4-year term), January 2026 - January 2030
- Two (2) City Council positions (4-year term), January 2026 - January 2030
The candidate filing period is between June 2, 2025, and June 6, 2025, Monday through Friday, except weekends and holidays. A Declaration of Candidacy must be filed in person from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 250 North Main St. Centerville, Utah, 84014.
The constitutional and statutory qualification requirements for municipal offices are:
- Be a United States citizen.
- Be a registered voter in the municipality.
- Be at least 18 years old at the time of the next election.
- Has been a legal resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election.
- In accordance with Utah Constitution Article IV, Section 6, any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, or any person convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until the right to hold elective office is restored as provided by statute.
