Youth Council

The youth of Centerville are represented! Every year, new Centerville Youth City Council members are selected to serve the youth of Centerville. The Youth Council informs the city government of the needs and interests of the youth, and they plan and implement a variety of activities, including:

  • Charitable
  • Cultural
  • Educational
  • Recreational
  • Social

Message from the Youth Council

Dear Youth Citizen:
Centerville City welcomes your interest in the Youth City Council. We need the help and support of our community’s youth. The Youth Council is responsible for many community activities, service projects and is a great opportunity to be involved in our great city.

Should you be interested in fulfilling a term on the Youth Council, please fill out the application and return it to City Hall no later than 5 pm, April 19, 2019. You will be contacted for an interview in the following week. For any questions please contact a current youth council member or Lisa Summers (Youth Council Advisor) at 801-295-3477 or 801-589-2919.

The Youth Council is open to all youth residing in Centerville and entering the 9th to 12th grades in the coming school year. There will be a Mandatory Council Training Retreat August 12 through 14, 2019. Please reconsider your application if you will not be available to attend.
