Centerville Freedom Festival

The Centerville Freedom Festival is a premier multi-day celebration in Centerville, Utah, culminating in a patriotic extravaganza for America’s 250th anniversary in 2026. Held primarily at Community Park, the festival features a packed schedule of community-focused events including a Parade on Main, a 5K Freedom Run, and a vibrant Party in the Park. The festivities conclude with a grand fireworks display on the evening of Saturday, July 4th.

Festival Highlights

  • Kickoff Events: Begins with a Kid's Market on June 30th and a Children's Parade leading into Founders Family Fun Night on July 3rd.

  • Independence Day Staples: A full day of activities on July 4th, including an Art & Quilt Show and Fireworks.

  • Community Involvement: The city offers opportunities for Volunteer Signups and Vendor Registrations for local food trucks and businesses.

Children proudly represent their startup business. They set up their displays and open for business at Centerville's Community Park (1350 N 400 W)! This is a powerful opportunity for parents to help their kids learn budgeting, cost of goods, business skills, profit, & pricing. The cost to attend is free, so come on out & support these local kids. 

Friday, July 3rd at William R. Smith (Founders) Park (300 N 100 E)

  • Begins at 6:30 PM SHARP
  • Starts at TBD
  • Ends at William R. Smith (Founders) Park (300 N 100 E)

Decorate your bikes and wagons or just come walk! Begins at 6:30 PM SHARP at TBD and ends at Smith Park with popsicles and fun at Founders Family Fun Night in Smith Park.

Friday, July 3rd at William R. Smith (Founders) Park (300 N 100 E)

  • Local Vendors for Snacks and Treats
  • Presenting of the Colors by Local Scout Troop
  • Singing of the National Anthem by Choral Chior Collective
  • Concert by Andrea Sharp & Timeless Country
  • Screening of "A League of Their Own" to air at 9:15 PM

Saturday, July 4th 2026 behind City Hall (250 N. Main Street)
  • Includes 5K and One-Mile distances for all ages and a free schoolyard race for children 8 years old and younger
  • 5K begins at 7 AM; One-Mile at 8 AM; schoolyard race 8:15 AM 
  • Entry fees increase June 1 and July 3
  • Prizes for first three finishers in each 5K age group and ribbons for all children under 12 years old in the One-Mile and Schoolyard races

  • Begins at the red stake center (1450 N Main St.), ends at Pages Lane.
  • Residents can start putting out chairs and blankets to secure their spots for the parade after 4:00 PM on July 3rd.

    • Local talent will perform on the big stage in the East side of the park. Don't forget to bring a chair with you!  Seating is not provided, it's BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair).
