4th of July Committee

Every year Centerville celebrates the independence of the citizens of the United States with parades, races, fireworks, carnivals and music. The 4th of July Committee is a volunteer group of citizens that pull it all together. The committee is usually comprised of subcommittees in charge of specific aspects of the celebration.

Serving on this committee is a challenging and fun experience and a great opportunity to provide a service to the residents of Centerville that leaves smiles on everyone’s faces and promotes a community spirit.

The following are the positions and subcommittees that usually need to be filled every year:

  • 4th of July Committee Chair
  • 4th of July Committee Finances
  • Art/Quilt Festival
  • Carnival/5K/Children’s Races
  • Concert/Breakfast in the Park
  • Parade/Children’s Parade Subcommittees
  • Public Outreach/Marketing
