Rick Bangerter
Rick Bangerter, a ‘young’ 73-year-old, is a lifetime Davis County resident and a Centerville resident of 45 years. He is a retired professional with deep community love and many ties. He and his wife, Sheryl, have raised five children in Centerville. Rick’s career includes work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the University of Utah Hospital, over 35 years as owner of Rick Bangerter Roofing Inc., and service as the local Facility Manager for the LDS Church. He graduated as valedictorian from Viewmont High (1970) and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Utah. His service includes extensive Boy Scouting roles, an LDS mission to Brazil, leadership as a Brazil Mission President, a senior missionary in Portugal, and many other teaching and leadership roles within the LDS Church. He also served on the Centerville City Council (1998–2002) and has been both a County and State delegate. A lifelong conservative Republican, Rick is running to ensure open, accessible city government and balanced representation. He aims to strengthen collaboration between local businesses, citizens, and the city, and to reflect the values of Centerville’s conservative community. Rick is committed to informed decision-making and increasing citizen involvement in local governance.
